Overview

Sea Squirts make an unusual addition to the well-established reef aquarium. The body of the sea squirt is smooth with two openings, one for intake and one for exhaust. These tunicates are solitary animals that constantly filter the water for small phytoplankton and particulate organics.

The sea squirt requires a strong current and excellent water conditions. Place sea squirts in between the rockwork in the reef aquarium and they will quickly attach to their new home.

All sea squirts will require supplemental feeding with liquid plankton and other dissolved organic foods, as well as benefiting from the addition of iodine and trace elements.

Approximate Purchase Size: 1-1/2" to 3"
