The LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Coral Red and Orange Cyphastrea (Cyphastrea sp.), have an encrusting formation and are popular because they are hardy and fast growing. When tank conditions are optimal, they can undergo some color shifting and display more vibrant colors. The LiveAquaria® Red and Orange Cyphastrea Coral has a green body, red tentacles, and orange ‘eyes.’ They are happy placed at any level of the home aquarium.

LiveAquaria® CCGC Purple Gorgonia Coral (Pseudopterogorgia sp.), has bumpy, purple branches that grow in a vertical, tree-like fashion. The polyps on the branches are tan and are often open, or expanded, during the daytime. A hardy coral, it will add diversity to your reef aquarium with its vertical structure. Requiring only a moderate amount of lighting, it can be placed in the bottom of the aquarium. Maintaining a strong waterflow should keep algae growth on it at bay so it does not cause tissue deterioration. The home aquarist can also remove algae with the help of a soft brush.

The LiveAquaria® CCGC Neon Green Sinularia Coral (Sinularia sp.), has a vertical structure that resembles green plump fingers of different lengths with yellowish green polyps that can be placed to fill empty sections at all levels of your reef aquarium with exciting color and movement.

The corals in this pack require a moderate care level and are semi-aggressive, so should be spaced out to allow for future growth and so they cannot touch other corals. The ideal environment for these aquacultured coral frags is an established reef aquarium with coral friendly fish and invertebrates. Water temperatures should be maintained at 72°-78° F, pH levels of 8.1-8.4, a dKH level between 8-12, and salinity within the range of 1.022-1.025. They require the addition of supplemental calcium, strontium, magnesium, iodine, and other trace elements to the water.

These specimens receive the highest level of care from our experienced and professional LiveAquaria® staff, who will hand select premium corals for you. Aquacultured corals reduce the impact of natural collection, and because they are grown in captivity, are accustomed to a home aquarium.

The symbiotic algae zooxanthellae hosted within the coral’s bodies provide the majority of their nutritional requirements from the algae's light driven process of photosynthesis but will benefit from supplemental feeds of foods designed for corals and invertebrates.

The corals in this pack are mounted on small ceramic plugs that can be placed easily and securely in or between rockwork in the reef aquarium.
