The plant arrived dry with not the merest touch of moisture and surprisingly enough a bonus plant I did not order. I removed a rather large snail and placed it in water quaranteen for a day or two. I was rather pleased to see that after it has been in the tank two days, noticeable growth is seen on almost all the ends. It does look like this is a rather healthy specimen afterall. It adds a nice color variation for the tank.

This is the most prolific and hardiest aquarium plant I have ever had! It will do well under varied lighting, pH, and KH conditions. I was hesitant to try it as my tank parameters did not meet the specs. I started with one bunch that looked a little small and timid when it came......Now it has all but taken over and I have transferred some to another tank with different parameters where it continues to thrive. It has a nice olive green color with pink highlights.(By coincidence, I would recommend a Red Finned Shark to keep it clean from algae.) Mine has grown the full 18" of the tank height and beyond. It grows side shoots easily and can be cut anywhere to start a new planting. I have active larger fish and the plant stays well rooted. It doesn't require CO2 nor does it require a specific substrate. I do use Kent, Flourish Root Tabs, and Flourish Excel for ferts. I do not fertilize heavily. If you have struggled with plants in the past, or are an experienced keeper, this is a great plant
