Overview

Did you know that this specimen ships from our LiveAquaria® Wisconsin Facility, home of our popular Diver's Den® WYSIWYG Store and our LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Corals (CCGC)? What that means is that you can rest assured knowing this specimen received the highest level of care from our experienced and professional LiveAquaria® staff!

PLUS, hobbyists that use our LiveAquaria® Professional Reef Salt have the added benefit knowing marine species shipped from our LiveAquaria® Wisconsin Facility share the same water parameters. In other words, if you use our Professional Reef Salt, marine species shipped from our Wisconsin Facility will acclimate and transition to your home aquarium with less stress to set the foundation for longer term success.

These fishes are also known as the Twospined or Dusky Angelfish, and range from the Central and South Pacific, to the Western Pacific Ocean, and throughout the Indian Ocean. The body and head are a deep royal blue, highlighted with an iridescent orange to yellow.

It requires a 70 gallon or larger tank with lots of hiding places and rock for grazing. Not a good reef dweller, the Coral Beauty Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates).

The diet of the Coral Beauty Angelfish should consist of Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other quality meaty foods.

Beautiful and healthy. The neon blue pinstripe around the fins like you see in the pic glows under my Radion. I have owned a couple live caught in the past which were not near as colorful. Healthy eater who picks at algae on live rock all day. Fish is showing aggression toward my basslet but, no other fish. I would add last if you can.

Received my little Biota Coral Beauty a week ago. It's doing great! The temporary, well established 30 gallon cube reef tank has a Helfrichi Firefish, Yellow Goby, Biota Blue Mandarin and an Aptasia eating small filefish. The angel was shy for the first few days but is now out and about with the other fish. This aqua-cultured Coral Beauty represents the future in the marine aquarium industry. I'm a happy owner and hope for well over a decade of enjoyment from this special little fish.
