LiveAquaria® Professional Calcium Chloride is pure anhydrous calcium chloride available in convenient bulk sizes to offer experienced aquarists a cost-saving way to raise and maintain proper calcium levels in coral reef aquariums. Calcium plays an important role in invertebrate shell development, coral skeleton formation, as well as maintaining stable pH.

LiveAquaria® Professional Calcium Chloride can be used alone or as a component of a two-part calcium and alkalinity supplement system to help ensure healthy, vigorous growth of corals, coralline algae, clams, snails, and other invertebrates. Just 1 teaspoon of LiveAquaria® Professional Calcium Chloride per 10 gallons of water will raise calcium levels approximately 50 ppm. For use in marine aquariums only.

Directions & Dosage
Do not add LiveAquaria® Professional Calcium Chloride directly to your aquarium water. Create a solution at the prescribed dosage detailed below. Always test calcium levels prior to use. Calcium concentration found in natural seawater is between 380-450 ppm. Due to the sensitivity of marine organisms, it is not recommended to raise calcium by more than 20 ppm per 24 hours.

DOSAGE: 1 gram per 10 gallons will raise calcium level approximately 10 ppm. One teaspoon (approximately 5.2 grams) per 10 gallons will raise calcium approximately 50 ppm. Dissolve appropriate amount of calcium chloride in RO/DI or distilled water. It is recommended to dose in partial increments of 1/3 to 1/2 of the total. Wait 24 hours after first partial dose, then check calcium levels and dose another portion.

NOTE: Due to the variation of granular size, conversion between volume and weight of powdered products are approximate; as a precaution, dose less than the calculated amount and measure the effect before adding the total amount.

CAUTION: This product becomes hot when mixed with water, use rubber gloves. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash hands after handling.
