Overview
LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Coral Frag Pack, Orange Edition (Various sp.), offers hobbyists a way to enhance their reef aquarium with a collection of premium coral frag specimens. Adding visual interest and beauty to your home aquarium in shades of orange and red, they have a moderate care level and peaceful temperaments. All three corals benefit from moderate to high lighting and a medium to strong waterflow.
Live corals are important contributors to the structure of a saltwater reef in nature as well as in reef aquariums. Our Certified Captive Grown Corals are grown by our dedicated Wisconsin staff at our own LiveAquaria® facility. We are committed to providing healthy and attractive alternatives to wild caught specimens, so as not to contribute to the world’s declining coral reefs. Aquacultured corals are also acclimated to home aquariums.
For continued good health, these corals will require the addition of supplemental calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water. Recommended water parameters are a temperature between 72°-78° F, calcium harness 8-12 dKH, pH levels between 8.1-8.4, and a salinity range of sg 1.022-1.025.
Included in this premium 3-pack are:Orange Polyp Montipora Coral (Montipora sp.)
The LiveAquaria® Aquacultured Orange Polyp Montipora Coral is an SPS hard coral with an encrusting formation that is hard and bumpy in appearance and is olive green in color with orange polyps.
This SPS hard coral exhibits a peaceful temperament and will add interest to your reef aquarium. It comes mounted on a fired ceramic plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium
Orange Guttatus Birdsnest Coral (Seriatopora guttatus)
The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Orange Guttatus Birdsnest Coral boasts a breathtaking color combination of rich orange and neon teal polyps. An aesthetically pleasing choice for any SPS collector, they have delicate thin branches and are fast growing that will add movement to a reef aquarium.
The Orange Guttatus Birdsnest Coral is mounted on a small ceramic plug that can be placed easily and securely in or between the rockwork in the reef aquarium.
Red Candy Cap Coral Montipora capricornis
The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Red Candy Cap Coral is a variety of small polyp stony (SPS) coral with a pleasing orange-to-red coloration. The Montipora capricornis coral's usual growth form is either plating or vase-like. The growth form and intensity of coloration is highly dependent on the water flow and lighting in the aquarium, so a home aquarist may want to place the coral at different levels of the aquarium to see where it is most vibrant.
These SPS Corals will satisfy the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their bodies but will also benefit from occasional broadcast feeding in the form of micro-plankton or foods designed for SPS corals.
Hobbyists who use our LiveAquaria® Professional Reef Salt have the added benefit knowing marine species shipped from our Wisconsin Facility share the same water parameters. In other words, if you use our Professional Reef Salt, marine species shipped from our Wisconsin Facility will acclimate and transition to your home aquarium with less stress to set the foundation for longer term success.
