Overview

In nature, the Redbelly Yellow Fusilier Caesio cuning lives in schools on rocky coral reefs along coastal areas in the Indo Pacific. Other names it is known by include the Yellowtail Fusilier and Red Bellied Fusilier.

It is a silvery blue saltwater fish with an oval shaped body and rounded head. Blue markings appear on its head and across the top of its body midline and above. It has a flush of pink on its underbelly, a yellow caudal fin, and a black spot at the base of its pectoral fins.

The Redbelly Yellow Fusilier is a fast moving marine fish that should be housed in a well-established aquarium with large open swim areas and areas in which to hide.

This member of the Caesionidae family is a carnivore that is an active grazer and should be fed zooplankton multiple times per day.
